A few weeks ago, Kyle’s parents, Jim and Renee, took a trip up to Door County to officially book the rehearsal dinner venue. Kyle and I had been thinking about places in Door County that are close to the ceremony rehearsal and that have great food and service, and we both agreed that having the rehearsal dinner at the Nautical Inn would be a perfect choice for us. We really enjoy the small, casual, intimate atmosphere and the unique character of the place. And their food is excellent! The nautical feel with the dark woodwork and custom booth seating definitely makes you feel like you’re in Door County! When we met with the owner that weekend, she was more than happy to accommodate our group of about 40 people, and they are even setting up a private buffet for us with a wide variety of dinner options. If we hadn’t wanted the buffet, they were also very flexible as to what they could provide for their menu, while staying within our budget. Overall, I think it’s an excellent choice, and I’m excited to gather with my family, friends (and of course, fiance) to celebrate the last night before “I do!” Till next time, Amanda
