Door County Bride-To-Be — Will you be my bridesmaid?

Last week, I sent out some very important (and homemade) mail, to some very special people. I’ve heard back from all of them, and I’m happy to say that all my bridesmaids said YES! My wedding day would not be complete without these people being a part of it, and I am honored to know such caring, wonderful people. My friends and family are so important to me, and I’m excited to introduce the girls standing up in my wedding!
Emily is my sister, and also my maid of honor. Being five years younger than me, we haven’t always gotten along, but over the past few years we’ve grown much closer, and she has become one of my best friends. We are so similar it’s scary sometimes, and we can be completely ourselves around each other. I couldn’t imagine a better sister, and a better maid of honor!
Kylie is one of my very close friends from college. We have known each other for over three years, and were roommates during my last two years at UW-Stevens Point. We’ve had tons of good times, crazy nights, and heart-to-hearts, and she has always been there for me no matter what. She even used to take care of me when I was sick! She got her nickname “Mama Ky” because she would cook and take care of everyone, and she is one of the sweetest people I will ever know!
Kelly is my sister-in-law, and she has been a part of my family for over two years now. Kelly and I have grown to become great friends, and I’ve had fun getting to know all her funny characteristics. She has a unique love for animals, Mountain Dew, and frisbee, and even eats Ketchup on her pancakes! I’m learning new things about her all the time, and she is a wonderful addition to our family.
Marcia and I graduated from UW-Stevens Point together, and were also in the same graphic design program. We’ve known each over for over four years, and have especially become good friends this past year. We are both members of the AIGA-WI Communications Committee, and have had a lot of wonderful experiences stepping out in our careers together. Our personalities, work ethics, and goals are so similar, and we always have a great time together whether it’s getting coffee, planning new design endeavors, or talking about weddings!
Katie is my future sister-in-law, and I’m so excited to be gaining such a wonderful new family member. While she is very busy working on her education and career, I enjoy the times we spend together at family events, dinner nights, and holidays. She’s always doing or saying something funny, and reminds everyone to have a sense of humor. She’s a lot of fun and very down-to-earth, and I can’t wait to get to know her better.
Until next time,
